Discover the largest medina in Morocco as you navigate the labyrinthine of streets of the royal city of Fez. Amidst the bustling shops and stalls where locals shop daily, you can stroll through the narrow alleyways, stepping aside as donkeys pass carrying heavy loads. You’ll explore the medina with a knowledgeable guide, before visiting a local family for some tea - mint of course! You'll stay in a beautiful riad on the edge of the medina, with a great location, spacious rooms, and excellent restaurant.

Day 1 – Arrival in Fez

You’ll be welcomed to your riad in Fez with fresh mint tea and delicious homemade biscuits. A riad offers a more authentic and intimate experience than a typical hotel, with its charming decor and proximity to the bustling medina. The riad’s courtyard is spacious and beautifully furnished with plenty of seating areas. We can arrange two adjacent rooms or one large room with extra beds, depending on your preferences for your family. Enjoy a freshly made pastilla at the riad’s restaurant, or head to Bab Boujloud to dine at the local restaurants offering traditional Moroccan dishes.

Day 2 – Guided Walking Tour and Tea with a Local Family

Visiting Fez is like stepping back in time. Ancient crafts that have vanished in Europe are still practised here daily. With a local guide, you’ll navigate the maze-like streets and alleys, gaining insights into various traditional crafts. Visit a local family’s home in the medina, where you’ll share a cup of mint tea and experience genuine Moroccan hospitality as you swap stories.

Day 3 – Departure from Fez

After breakfast, your Fez adventure comes to an end. If you wish to explore further into Morocco’s interior and desert regions, we can arrange for you to visit the Sahara Desert, where you’ll ride a camel to your Bedouin tent and sleep under a star-filled sky. Alternatively, continue your travels to the beach town of Agadir for some rest and relaxation by the sea.
