Ko Tao has all the ingredients of a family getaway: sandy beaches, gentle waters and exotic marine life. It is far more laid back here than its neighbours, Ko Phangan and Ko Samui, and is a great place to put your feet up in a hammock with a good book whilst the kids splash about in the calm sea. You'll stay in a comfortable resort with a swimming pool, close to a variety of beaches and small restaurants. During your stay on the island we'll arrange for you to go on a snorkelling trip to all the best spots.

Day 1 – Arrival on Ko Tao Island

Today you’ll arrive on Koh Tao Island, otherwise known as “Turtle Island”. It is easily reachable by ferry from both Koh Samui and Koh Phangan. As you enter the harbour you’ll immediately see what the island is known for: colourful coral, emerald green water and lots of tropical fish. You’ll stay in a family-friendly resort built against a mountain slope with a swimming pool and next to a quiet stretch of beach. Let the relaxation begin!

Day 2 – Snorkelling trip

The following morning you’ll discover why Koh Tao is famous for its bright coral reefs and colourful fish. You’ll be collected from your hotel for your day trip to the best snorkelling spots on the island. You’ll stop for a picnic lunch at Hin Wong Bay before journeying to the North of the island for some more snorkelling. In the afternoon you’ll visit the tiny island of Koh Nang Yuan and climb up to the viewpoint in the centre. At the end of your trip you’ll be dropped off at the harbour and from here make your own way back to your hotel.

Days 3-4 – Free time and departure from Ko Tao Island

Day three is free for you to do as you please. You might decide to simply spend your time relaxing on the beach with a good book, but if the kids are old enough and you want to discover more of the deeper world and bigger fish, it’s possible to try an introductory dive. If you’ve never dived before, Koh Tao has plenty of great dive sites to introduce the kids to an exciting new hobby. The next day you’ll wave a reluctant goodbye to this beautiful tropical island.
