Day 1 – Arrival in Munduk
Today you and your family will arrive in the hilltop village of Munduk, tucked away amongst the misty mountains and tranquil temple lakes. You’ll stay in a cottage built in Balinese wood with traditional touches and a terrace overlooking the gardens and rice terraces below.
Day 2 – Guided plantation walk
Today you’ll head out with a local guide on a walk through the rice paddies, jungle and fruit plantations. On this 3 hour walk, you and the family can search for the different plants and fruits – matching them to the booklet included in your welcome pack. Along the way, your guide will show you how a pineapple grows, pick cocoa beans, vanilla pods and nutmeg bulbs and explain how rice is planted. The rest of the day is free to explore under your own steam.
Day 3 – Departure
After a hearty Indonesian breakfast at your hotel this morning, you’ll pack your bags and head off on your next destination in Bali with the family in tow.

If you have children over 8 years old who love an adrenaline rush, then you can swap to our buggy tour during your time in Munduk. Once you’ve donned the goggles and mask you’ll head out in your buggy, be prepared though it can get quite dusty as you whizz through the countryside! You’ll arrive at a crater lake and take a canoe ride out onto the lake before jumping back in your buggy and continuing through the rainforest, cruising past orchards and coffee plantations as you go. You’ll make a stop and stretch your legs with a short walk through the rainforest, spotting monkeys high up in the treetops and tropical birds flying above. Along the way you’ll recharge with a sandwich before heading off again in your buggy. The tour will end around 2.30pm at basecamp where you can take a refreshing shower before being transferred back to your hotel.
