Your day-by-day itinerary
Bangkok: On Your Bike
After your international flight you’ll arrive in the bustling capital of Bangkok. A welcoming driver will meet you and your family at the airport and transfer you to a riverside hotel with a rooftop pool. The following day you’ll go on a bike trip through Bangkok’s traditional China Town and its lush green suburbs. A great way to see a different side to this vibrant city!
Onward transfers
Next you’ll take a sleeper train with your clan from Bangkok to Chiang Mai. We will book you in shared carriage where the seats are turned into comfy beds with a curtain for privacy. The journey takes around 11 hours and food is served on the train but you can also grab some snacks at the railway station before your journey. If you would prefer to travel in a private two-berth couchette just let your Travel Specialist know.
Elephant Encounters in Chiang Mai
When you arrive into Chiang Mai after your night on a sleeper train, you and your family will be transferred to your hotel in the centre of the city. The night market, packed with souvenirs and aromatic street food stalls, is a great place to explore with the kids and try some truly different delicacies. The next day you will learn all about these gentle giants at the Elephant Nature Park. As well as getting to know about these elephants, you will have the chance to prepare their food and watch them interact as a herd. A real highlight for any wildlife love at any age!
Onward transfers
Next you’re heading south for a jungle adventure in Khao Sok National Park. You’ll take a domestic flight from Chiang Mai to Bangkok where you’ll jump in a taxi to the train station. Here you can buy some snacks for the sleeper train to Surat Thani in Southern Thailand. The train takes around 12 hours.
Giant Trees and Lakes of Khao Sok
Next, you’ll journey deep into the wilds of Thailand’s famous Khao Sok National Park. For the first two nights you’ll stay at our Anurak Community Lodge. This beautiful place is hidden amongst the limestone cliffs, employing local people to staff the lodge and run the trips. During your stay you and your brood will take part in a canoe trip with a local guide. Next you’ll head to a small group of peacefully floating bamboo cottages on the lake. The view is nothing less than idyllic; steep rock formations shooting up from the still water and curious monkeys swinging through the trees.
Onward transfers
Now it’s time to visit the islands of the Gulf of Thailand, you’ll travel by minibus to the ferry port before catching the ferry to Ko Phangan.
Shimmering Bays and Secluded Beaches
You’ll spend the next few days in a secluded bay on the tropical island of Ko Phangan, your resort has a swimming pool and while you’re here you will take a boat trip to the best spots in the area. You’ll get the chance to visit Koh Ma, connected to Koh Phangan by a spit of golden sand, snorkel amongst colourful fish and journey inland to hidden waterfalls.
Onward transfers
As your family adventure in Thailand comes to an end you will take the ferry to Ko Samui and make your own way to the small airport for your flight back to Bangkok where you will spend one last night before catching your international flight home the following day.
