Tuk Tuks and Longtails in Bangkok
After your international flight you’ll arrive in the bustling capital of Bangkok. A welcoming driver will meet you and your family at the airport and transfer you to a riverside hotel with a rooftop pool. The following day you’ll go on a tuk tuk trip through Bangkok’s bustling streets and journey down the canals by longtail boat. A great way to see a different side to this vibrant city!
Onward transfers
Today your private driver will take you to the lush jungles of Khao Yai National Park, a journey of about 2 hours.
Adventure caves in Khao Yai
Just a few hours from Bangkok is the biggest and oldest National Park in Thailand, with dense jungle and innumerable plants and animals. Your first glimpse into this paradise will be spent watching the bat exodus that occurs every evening at sunset. The following day you’ll hike to waterfalls and trek through Khao Yai National Park in search of the wild elephants and other wildlife. After spending a day on foot in the jungle, you can cool off in the lodge’s swimming pool and refuel at the open air restaurant.
Onward transfers
Next you’re heading south for more jungle adventures in Khao Sok National Park. You’ll be transferred back to Bangkok in time for your overnight train to Surat Thani, where you’ll be met the following morning by one of our local representatives. Alternatively, you could take a one hour flight from Bangkok to Surat Thani. Just let your travel specialist know if you would like them to arrange this for you.
Jungle Adventures in Khao Sok
Next, you’ll journey deep into the wilds of Thailand’s famous Khao Sok National Park, where you’ll explore enchanting rainforests and swim in sparkling natural lakes. You’ll stay in a truly unique place hidden amongst the limestone cliffs; the Anurak Community Lodge, where the staff and guides are from the local community. During your stay you will take part in a kayak trip with a local guide and travel by traditional longtail boat across Racha Praba Lake to a small group of peacefully floating bamboo cottages. The view is nothing less than idyllic; steep rock formations shooting up from the still water and curious monkeys swinging through the trees. In the evenings you can simply sit back and soak up the serenity of the lush jungle, listening to the monkeys playing in the trees above.
Onward transfers
Now it’s time for the beach! In the morning, your driver will pick you up from your lodge and take you to Surat Thani train station for your train to Hua Hin. The journey will take around 9 hours.
Take a Walk on the Wild Side
You’ll then spend three nights on the coast of Hua Hin, exploring the limestone peaks, castaway beaches and treasure trove of magical caves at Khao Sam Roi National Park. During your beach stay you’ll visit the nearby Wildlife Friends Foundation to understand how they rehabilitate injured animals. The rest of your time is free for you to do what you like and there is plenty to choose from! Spot wild elephants and water buffaloes in Kui Buri National Park and relax on the golden sands.
Onward transfers
As your family adventure in Thailand comes to an end you will picked up and taken back to Bangkok in time for your international flight home.
