Bite-sized trip
- Itinerary:Fernando de Noronha
- Duration:5 days / 4 nights (flexible)
- Price:From £ 549.- per person (excluding flights)
Day 1 – Arrival at Fernando de Noronha
After an hour or so up in the air your flight will land on the paradise island of Fernando de Noronha. You can travel here from Natal or Recife making it easily accessible from the east coast. In 1988 the archipelago was declared a National Marine Park so to help preserve it there are restrictions on the amount of visitors per day. Pre-booking your National Park entrance fees to visit any of the beaches and trails on the island is obligatory. Speak to your Travel Specialist about adding these in.
Upon your arrival, a transfer will be waiting to take you to Vila dos Remedios, a tiny island town. You’ll spend 4 nights in a simple yet cosy pousada. Your time on Fernando de Noronha is free for you to do whatever you wish. There is great diving and snorkelling spots all around the island and with an average water temperature of 26ºC it’s a great place to explore the colourful underwater world.
Days 2-4 – Fernando de Noronha – free time
Walking trails on the island offer a variety of interesting scenery. If you hike to the top of Morro do Pico you’ll have the best possible view of the archipelago’s 21 islands. Vila dos Remeidios is the liveliest town on the island, during your time here you can stroll through the historic town centre, visit the local museum and then walk over to the Forte Dos Remedios for a panoramic view of the surrounding beaches.
Day 5 – Fernando – Recife/ Natal
Today it’s time to leave Fernando de Noronha and head back to the mainland. Flights back to Recife and Natal generally leave in the afternoon, so you’ll have the morning to yourself. Eventually though, the time will come to say goodbye to this little piece of heaven on earth. Before travelling on with one of the other Brazil tours or returning home, you’ll need to spend a night in Recife or Natal.
