Day 1 – Arrival in Mui Ne

Today you’ll travel from Ho Chi Minh City, along the south coast of Vietnam to Mui Ne. Once you leave the hustle and bustle of the city behind, the landscapes slowly shifts from high-rise buildings and busy streets to lush rice paddies and small villages. As you get closer, you’ll soon spot colourful fishing boats and long stretches of golden sands, which is where your resort is located. Settle into your peaceful retreat nestled among tropical gardens, just steps from the beach and spend the afternoon unwinding after the journey, while the kids splash around in the pool. Take a stroll along the beach, watching the light soften over the sea before enjoying a delicious fresh seafood dinner at the open-air restaurant.

Day 2 – Surfing in Mui Ne

After breakfast, its time for some surfing action. The wide sandy beach and moderate sea breeze create ideal conditions for beginner surfers and your family will take part in a surfing lesson. Starting on the sand, you’ll practice popping up and finding your balance, before heading into the water with your instructor. Expect a few wobbles (and probably a few wipe-outs), but that’s all part of the fun. Then suddenly it clicks, and you’ll experience the thrill of riding your first wave, gliding towards the shore.

Day 3 – Free time in Mui Ne

This morning, you’ll spot fishing boats returning to shore and watch as scooters zip back and forth to pick up the morning’s catch, as you start the day slowly. Take a refreshing dip in the sea or a barefoot stroll along the sands, before enjoying a fresh breakfast together. If you’d like to do something active, head to the nearby red sand dunes, where you’ll wander barefoot through a shallow stream, winding through a lush red-toned gorge, before arriving at the dunes. Hop on a quad bike together and set off across the rolling dunes, kicking up trails of sand as you go. Older kids and teenagers will love the sense of freedom as you pick up speed, while younger children can ride alone and take it all in. At the top, you’ll pause for panoramic views across the dramatic dusty landscape, before the real fun begins. Grabbing a sandboard, and cruising down, wobbling and laughing your way back down to the bottom.

Day 4 – Departure from Mui Ne

Today, its time to leave Mui Ne and continue on your journey through Vietnam. You could head to the Mekong Delta, via Saigon, where life revolves around the river, with floating homes, local markets and quiet backwaters to explore. When its time to catch your flight back home, you can easily get a transfer back to Saigon or the airport and we can arrange the journey for you.
