Day 1 – Arrival in Masai Mara
You will be collected from your hotel in Nairobi early this morning for your journey to Masai Mara, where you will be staying in a tented camp, surrounded by wide open plains, acacia trees and sounds of the wild. Inside your spacious safari tent there are full-size beds and a private bathroom, so you’ll be sleeping in comfort, despite the wild exterior. After lunch, you will head out on a game drive in search of wild animals, before returning to your camp as the sun is setting and enjoying a refreshing drink.
Day 2 – Game drives in the Masai Mara
Today you will be up before sunrise for an early morning game drive through the national park. Your driver is an expert at spotting wildlife so you will have the best chances of spotting the big five, as well as herds of wildebeest, giraffes, cheetahs and maybe even a hippo wallowing in the water. You will return to camp for lunch, before setting off again for an afternoon game drive, this way you can maximise your chances and search for wildlife when the animals are at their most active. After a delicious dinner you can make yourself comfortable by the crackling campfire, with the stars overhead.
Day 3 – Departure from Masai Mara
Today you’ll wake up to the sounds of the African bush, before enjoying your final breakfast and heading off to your next destination in Kenya. Head to Lake Naivasha to spot hippos gathering in the shallows and cycle through Hell’s Gate, looking out for zebra and giraffes grazing amongst the open plains. If you’re seeking sandy shores and crystal-clear turquoise waters, then Diani Beach is waiting for you.
