Day 1 – Elephants in Amboseli National Park

Early this morning you will be collected from your accommodation in Nairobi and driven around three hours to your safari lodge in Amboseli National Park. After lunch, your driver will take you on a game drive through the extraordinary East African savannah landscape, where you’ll likely encounter many different animals including Kenya’s largest elephant herd. As the sun begins to set, casting a golden glow over the plains, you will head back to the safari lodge for a tasty dinner and a relaxing evening.

Day 2 – Game drive in Tsavo National Park

After breakfast, you will continue onto Tsavo, Kenya’s largest national park, stopping en route at Mzima Spring, a lush oasis where you’ll find crystal-clear waters and hippos can be found frolicking in the shallows. Afterwards, you can explore the extraordinary lunar landscape of Shaitani’s congealed lava flows before arriving  in Tsavo West National Park.  Here, you’ll check into your safari lodge, located on the western edge of the national park at the Sante River Dam and, if it’s a clear day, you’ll be treated to incredible views of Mount Kilimanjaro. In the afternoon, you’ll go on a game drive in search of the big five and experience a wonderful sunset over the endless plains before returning to your lodge for dinner.

Day 3 – Continue to Lumo Wildlife Sanctuary

As you wake up with the first rays of sunshine, it’s time to get on the road in search of more wildlife on another game drive through the park, when the animals are at their most active. During the safari, the roof will be opened up, allowing you to enjoy 360-degree views over the vast savannah, helping you to spot as much wildlife as possible. Later on, you’ll continue onto your next lodge at Lumo Wildlife Sanctuary. This is a privately owned nature reserve bordering Tsavo West to the east, and is home to a small unique safari lodge perched on the edge of a cliff, where you’ll spend the night.

Day 4 – Departure from Tsavo National Park

After breakfast, you’ll head onto your next destination in Kenya. The coast is around a five hour drive away, where you can either catch your international flight home from Mombasa, or travel to Diani Beach, where you can soak up some beach time and enjoy the fresh sea breeze.
