Day 1 – Moshi cooking class

After breakfast, you will be collected from your hotel in Moshi and driven along rugged roads to reach Kidia village, at the foot of the famous Mt. Kilimanjaro, and if you’re lucky, you’ll get a glimpse of the snow-capped peaks. Your friendly hosts will welcome you with warmth and enthusiasm as they introduce you to traditional African cuisine. Together, you’ll prepare a local dish called ‘Ng’ande’, made from beans, green bananas, onions, tomatoes and carrots. You will get to enjoy the fruits of your labour afterwards, as you sit down with your hosts to share lunch, swap stories and get a glimpse into their daily life. After lunch, your guide will take you to see the lush green coffee plantations at the foot of Kilimanjaro, where you’ll meet the farmers and have a go at picking your own beans and learning the full process of bean to brew, before enjoying a fresh cup of coffee.  Next, you’ll be taken back to your accommodation, where you can spend the evening relaxing and enjoying the peaceful gardens.

Day 2 – Departure from Moshi

After breakfast, you’ll be heading to your next destination in Northern Tanzania. If you have wildlife in mind, experience The Great Migration and travel deep into the Serengeti for unforgettable scenes of large herds of hooved mammals gathered together, or explore a more off-the-beaten-track area and go on safari in Arusha National Park, looking out for giraffes, warthogs, zebras and flamingos.
