Walking Safari in Arusha National Park

Day 1 – Arusha National Park: Hike & Safari

Your private driver will collect you from your lodge accommodation in Arusha as you’ll be heading out on safari today. Travelling by Landcruiser, you will explore the park and look out for its inhabitants including giraffes, warthogs, zebras and flamingos. Your vehicle features a folding roof, so you’ll be treated to 360-degree views over the sweeping savannah landscapes, with the majestic Mount Meru in the distance. You will drive past the Ngurdoto Crater, a volcanic crater located in the middle of the rainforest, home to primates such as blue monkeys and baboons, and striking black and white colobus monkeys.

Next, you’ll enjoy a delicious light lunch, before your safari begins on foot. Along with your knowledgeable guide, you’ll explore the park over the next few hours – getting up close to some of the incredible wildlife that live here. Later in the afternoon, you’ll return to your lodge in Arusha. Surrounded by beautiful gardens, your lodge is nestled between green hills and the foot of Mount Meru so you can take in the beautiful views, relax by the swimming pool and reflect on today’s adventures.
