Where to go in Tanzania
Discover the untamed beauty of Tanzania, a country packed with stunning landscapes, amazing wildlife, beautiful beaches, and unique cultural experiences. Explore the rugged landscapes, spot iconic wildlife in the many National Parks, connect with local communities and laze on the white-sand beaches of Zanzibar. This is the place for an epic adventure!

Dramatic landscapes
Tanzania is not short on stunning landscapes to admire during your trip, and one of the most famous is Mount Kilimanjaro. Walk through the foothills of this iconic peak, learn about life on the coffee plantations, visit local villages and take a dip in stunning waterfalls. If you’re keen to summit a mountain during your Tanzania holiday, Mount Meru is the country’s third highest at 4,566 metres. Located in Arusha National Park, you’ll start in tropical rainforest before climbing up rocky paths with views over the surrounding savannahs and lakes.
Another top spot to visit is the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage site and the world’s largest inactive volcanic caldera home to an abundance of wildlife.
Wonderful wildlife
Tanzania’s National Parks are bursting with wildlife and offer an unforgettable safari experience. There are plenty of spots to choose from, take a walking safari through Arusha National Park to get a unique perspective of the lush rainforest and open savannah while spotting giraffes, zebras, and colobus monkeys, or visit the Ngorongoro Crater, a natural wildlife sanctuary where the Big Five roam freely within the caldera’s rich ecosystem.
The world-famous Serengeti National Park is home to the Great Migration, where millions of wildebeest and zebras traverse the plains, pursued by hungry predators. Lake Manyara National Park is known for its tree-climbing lions and vibrant flocks of flamingos, while Tarangire National Park boasts vast elephant herds and ancient baobab trees. For those seeking an off-the-beaten-track adventure, the remote Mikumi and Nyerere National Parks in southern Tanzania offer sightings of rare wildlife amid dense forests and open plains, making every safari a truly wild experience.

Idyllic beaches
Off Tanzania’s coast lies Zanzibar, an archipelago famed for its white sandy beaches and rich cultural history. Stone Town, a UNESCO World Heritage site, boasts winding alleys, bustling markets, and historic architecture, while the island’s beautiful beaches are ideal for relaxation. We recommend the north and east coast beaches for chilled out beach time during your Tanzania holiday. If you’d prefer to stay on the mainland, we recommend spending a few days in Pangani. Our lodge overlooks the white sand beach and palm trees, and is the perfect spot for some relaxation. Take a dip in the Indian Ocean, visit nearby Maziwe Island for a spot of snorkelling or simply soak up the sun.
Cultural connections
We believe that connecting with the local community and traditions is the best way to immerse yourself in the culture of Tanzania during your stay. Stay the night in a lodge run by the Maasai community, learn about their traditions and how they have adapted to modern life. Get a unique perspective on a cycling tour through rural villages with a local guide showing you the way as you see local life unfold around you. This is the heart and soul of Tanzania and something not to be missed!
