Day 1 – Arrival in the Kalahari
From Windhoek, the drive to the Kalahari is around 2.5 hours. You’ll need to walk the final 200 metres to your accommodation as you can’t take the car through the loose desert sand. Your accommodation is simple but totally unique: a raised tent with modern furnishings, a bed and an outdoor bathroom. Once the sun sets, you’ll be treated to unbelievable views of the Milky Way, with minimal light pollution enhancing the starlit sky, while the sounds of wildlife echo around you.
Day 2 – Immersive guided desert walk
Wake up to the sounds of nature and after breakfast, head off the beaten track on a guided walk deep into the Kalahari. This is a completely immersive experience where you’ll get to know the native flora and fauna, and (hopefully) spot some of the desert’s elusive wildlife including springbok, ostrich and huge bird nests in the acacia trees. The walk takes around 4-5 hours but can be adjusted if you’d prefer a shorter route. The afternoon is free for you to spend as you wish, relax with a book on your terrace or take a dip in the swimming pool to cool off.

Day 3 – Departure from the Kalahari
After a final night in your tent in the desert, it’s time to move on. Continue your Namibia adventure to Sossusvlei National Park to visit the iconic towering dunes, or head to the Fish River Canyon for dramatic scenes of the deep gorge that winds through the landscape.
