Day 1 - Arrival in El Paredon

After breakfast in Antigua, you'll hop on the shuttle bus for a three-hour journey to El Paredon. Along the way, you'll watch the landscape change from colourful cobbled streets to vast green fields and long stretches of sandy beaches on the Pacific Coast. On arrival in El Paredon, you'll immediately feel immersed in the laid-back atmosphere that gives this surf town its charm. Known for its long stretch of volcanic black sand beaches and reliable surf conditions, it's a popular spot for surfers and beach-lovers alike. You will be staying at a small, family-run beach hotel with a swimming pool, perfect for cooling off after your active adventures in Guatemala. This evening, embrace the lively atmosphere and enjoy a meal at one of the charming beachfront restaurants.

Day 2 & 3 - Free time in El Paredon

The next few days are free for you to spend as you wish. If you're feeling active, grab a surfboard and take to the water for a surf lesson. The local instructors will be happy to show you the ropes and seek out the best waves for your level. However, if you'd rather have a more relaxing day, the beaches are perfect for unwinding on the sands with a good book or enjoying the sunset with a cold drink.

In the afternoon, you can visit one of the beach bars for delicious fresh fish, tacos or a tropical smoothie with locally sourced fruit. Soak in the relaxed atmosphere, listen to the sounds of the waves and watch surfers ride the waves of the Pacific Ocean.
