Day 1 – Arrival in Kuta
Today, you’ll travel to the laid-back coastal town of Kuta, on Lombok’s south coast. Surrounded by wide, quiet beaches and rolling green hills, Kuta is the ideal spot for families looking to slow down. You’ll be staying at a relaxed family-friendly beach resort, just steps away from the calm waters of the Indian Ocean. Settle in, head to the beach, or cool off in the swimming pool as you ease into the slower pace of the coast. For dinner, you can ask reception to arrange a taxi into Kuta centre, around 10 minutes away, where you’ll find a mix of cafes and local restaurants for a relaxed family evening out.
Day 2 – Surf lesson
This morning, after a fresh breakfast, you’ll head out to explore the surf beaches along Lombok’s south coast. Alongside a local guide, you’ll start at Selong Belanak, where you’ll have a private surf lesson. Starting with the basics on the beach, before hitting the water, you’ll be catching your first waves in no time. Next, lunch will be served at a local beachside restaurant, after which you can enjoy some free time to relax or return to the water for more surfing action. In the afternoon, continue onto the quieter bay of Mawun Beach, where you can unwind with a fresh coconut and recover from the morning’s efforts before returning to your hotel.
If surfing is not your thing, there is still plenty to do. Discover the peaceful bays that line the coast, with soft sands and clear water ideal for paddling and enjoying some quality time together, or hike up to Merese Hill for beautiful ocean views.

Day 3 – Free time in South Lombok
Today, we have left free for you to spend the day as you wish. Relax by the pool, or head to the beach to soak up the sunshine while the kids master those surfing skills. Younger children can paddle in the shallows, or build sandcastles, while you unwind under the shade of a palm tree.
Day 4 – Departure from Kuta
Enjoy one final breakfast overlooking the Indian Ocean, before being collected and travelling to your next destination in Indonesia. Lombok airport is around one hour’s drive away, or if you’d like to explore more of the island you could stay amongst rice terraces and cycle to nearby Monkey Forest. For more beach time, head to the Gili Islands for white sand beaches, turquoise waters, and the chance to spot turtles while snorkelling.
