After a relaxing morning, it’s time to head out and immerse yourself in this fascinating city. There is so much for families to enjoy, from the outdoor Museum of Ethnology with full-size replicas of traditional village houses to the hugely popular Water Puppet shows at the famous Thang Long Theatre. There is also Ho Tay Water Park close by.

Later that afternoon, you’ll be met by your guide for a private tour of the Old Quarter – a labyrinth of lane-ways packed with colonial architecture, ancient temples, and endless cafes, shops and galleries. Along the way, you’ll be stopping off at hidden eateries and street food vendors to sample a range of local delicacies such as Bun Cha (Vermicelli with herbs and grilled pork) and Banh Goi (stuffed dumplings).
