Day 1 – Arrival in Vancouver
Welcome to sunny summer British Columbia. After landing, make your way by taxi or Skybus to your centrally located hotel in Vancouver, just a short walk from lively Robson Street and perfectly placed for easy exploring.
In summer, Vancouver really comes to life. Cycle or stroll along the Stanley Park Seawall, wander the cobbled streets of historic Gastown, or browse the colourful stalls on Granville Island. On clear days you will see the snow capped North Shore Mountains rising behind the city, while sailboats and seaplanes drift across the harbour.
Day 2 – Guided bike tour of the city
Today it’s time to enjoy the delights of the city and we’ve arranged a bike ride with a local guide to show you the sights of Stanley Park. Cruise along the sea wall, taking in the stunning views across the water and admire the First Nations Totem Poles. The rest of the day is yours to spend as you wish – you could explore Granville Island, a peninsula of old warehouses, now a hub for cafes, restaurants and artist studios.

Day 3 – Get a birds eye view of Vancouver
Today brings a real highlight with a seaplane flight over Vancouver and its stunning coastal surroundings. From the air you will enjoy sweeping views of the Pacific coastline, scattered offshore islands, dense green forests and the impressive North Shore Mountains. Seeing the city from above gives a whole new perspective as the skyline, harbour and bridges come together in one memorable panorama.
After landing, there is time to continue exploring Vancouver at your own pace. Settle into a cosy waterside café for an ice cream or, if you feel like getting back on the water, take a relaxed boat trip along False Creek. It is a great balance of adventure, nature and city life before heading back to your hotel for the evening.
Day 4 – Vancouver to Whistler
Today you travel by comfortable transfer bus along the famous Sea to Sky Highway towards Whistler. The journey is a highlight in itself, with dramatic coastal mountains, waterfalls, deep fjords and clear blue lakes lining the way. On arrival, you check into your hotel in the heart of Whistler, with restaurants, cafés and small boutiques all within easy walking distance.
In summer, Whistler is a playground for outdoor lovers. Ski runs become hiking and mountain bike trails, while the village comes alive in the evening with street music, lively squares and a relaxed, summery atmosphere.

Day 5 – Peak 2 Peak Gondola in Whistler
Today brings a real highlight with a ride on the Peak to Peak Gondola between Whistler and Blackcomb Mountain, offering sweeping views over green valleys, sparkling mountain lakes and dramatic alpine scenery. At the top there is time for short walks, fresh mountain air and relaxed moments to enjoy the wide open landscapes, whether from a panoramic viewing platform or a quiet spot in nature, before spending the night once again in Whistler.
Day 6 – Transfer back to Vancouver to board the night train to Jasper
After breakfast, you travel by transfer bus back to Vancouver, stopping along the way at scenic spots such as Shannon Falls and viewpoints over Howe Sound. In the afternoon your next adventure begins with the VIA Rail journey from Vancouver to Jasper, gliding through lush valleys, rivers, lakes and the first foothills of the Rockies. You spend the night in a comfortable Upper Berth sleeping compartment with privacy curtains, bed linen, pillows and blankets provided, and washing and shower facilities available on board.

Day 7 – Time to explore Jasper
Day 8 – Jasper to Banff via the Icefield Parkway
You will travel to Banff along the world-famous Icefields Parkway, one of the most scenic routes in the Rockies. The drive passes towering peaks, deep valleys and turquoise glacial lakes, with plenty of chances to stop for photos. Along the way, you will visit the Athabasca Glacier and the Columbia Icefield Skywalk to take in the spectacular ice formations and mountain views. In the afternoon you will arrive in Banff and check into your hotel in the town centre, within easy walking distance of shops, cafés and galleries. The rest of the day is free to explore at your own pace or simply relax and enjoy the stunning scenery around the town.

Day 9 – 11 – Excursion to Lake Moraine and Lake Louise and time to explore Banff
Over the next few days, you will have time to explore Banff and the surrounding area. One of the highlights is a trip to two of the most famous lakes in the Canadian Rockies – Moraine Lake and Lake Louise. You will be picked up from your hotel in Banff and drive through the stunning scenery of Banff National Park. Dense forests, bright blue rivers and sweeping views of snow-capped peaks make the journey as memorable as the destinations.
At Moraine Lake, set in the striking Valley of the Ten Peaks, the water glows a vivid turquoise thanks to glacier melt. There is time for a walk along the shore or a short climb up the Rockpile Trail for a breath-taking view of the lake. You then continue to Lake Louise, where emerald waters and the impressive Victoria Glacier create a truly spectacular backdrop. Take a leisurely stroll along the lakeshore and enjoy the scenery before returning to Banff for the night.
Day 12 – On the road to Calgary
Today it is time to say farewell to the Rocky Mountains. Around noon you will be collected from your hotel in Banff, and depending on the day, other guests may join the journey to Calgary. The drive takes you through wide valleys, meadows and rolling hills that gradually give way to the open prairie – a striking contrast to the mountains you are leaving behind.
In Calgary you return to city life and stay in a hotel right in the centre. In summer the city has a lively, welcoming feel, with sidewalk cafés, food trucks and open-air events. You might take in the views from the Calgary Tower or stroll along the Bow River Pathway, where joggers, cyclists and street performers gather. In the evening, the restaurants and bars on Stephen Avenue Walk are ideal for a relaxed final night in Canada.

Day 13 – Time to head home
Today your journey through Western Canada comes to an end. After breakfast, you can make your way to the airport with plenty of time to catch your flight home.
