Bagan is an ancient city located in the centre of Myanmar with more than 2000 Buddhist monuments scattered between sweeping landscapes! If you’re looking for a place to relax for a few days and learn about the Buddhist culture then Bagan is a must. You’ll have plenty of time to explore by bike and soak up the spiritual atmosphere and epic views.

Day 1 – Arrival in Bagan

Today you’ll arrive in Nyaung U and be met by your driver, who’ll transfer you to your hotel in New Bagan. You’ll stay in a centrally located boutique property with lush gardens and an inviting pool. During your time here you’ll have mountain bikes or E-bikes and a map at your disposal to explore the temple ruins of Bagan. We recommend heading over to see Ananda Pahto one of the finest and best preserved temples in Myanmar. It towers over the city at an impressive 170ft high and is host to spectacular paintings, gold leaf Buddhas and a small museum.

Days 2-3 – Cycling with guide, free time & departure

This morning an English-speaking guide will take you to the lesser known temples and fill you in on their majestic history. Once you’ve got your bearings it’s time to head off on your own through the vast networks of dirt roads and trails! You can opt for an E-bike (like an electric scooter) over a push bike if you prefer to whizz past the local pagodas with ease. After all that cycling you might want to cool off with a refreshing dip in the pool. The following day you’ll head off to your next destination.
