Sleep in a treehouse and cruise along the river spotting wildlife. Your trip starts in Kuching - but you'll soon swap city for rainforest as you check into a treehouse lodge on the Damai Peninsula. During your stay you'll take a wildlife cruise on the Santubong River to spot Proboscis monkeys, beady crocodile eyes and glowing fireflies. If you're lucky you might also see an Irrawaddy dolphin!

Day 1 – Arrival at the Damai Peninsula

This morning you’ll be transferred from Kuching to the Damai Peninsula and your home for the next couple of nights, a real-life tree-house! You’ll be staying in a jungle resort located in the heart of the rainforest, and right next to the beach. This eco-resort is a great place to unwind with the family, you can rent paddle-boards, kayaks and head out on nature-watching tours. There’s also an on-site restaurant so you don’t need to worry about food, you can just take it easy and create those special family memories.

* If there are no treehouses available, we’ll book you a cabin instead.

Day 2 – Santubong River wildlife cruise

The morning is yours to spend as you wish, and in the afternoon your driver will collect you and take you down to the Santubong River. Here, you’ll hop on a boat for a cruise down this mangrove-lined river. Keep your eyes peeled for all the wildlife hiding along these shores. There’s Proboscis monkeys, Irrawaddy dolphins, fireflies and you might look down into the water and spot some crocodile eyes looking right back at you. As dusk settles you’ll be able to see the fireflies twinkling in the evening sky, and afterwards, you’ll head back to your treehouse for the night.

The wildlife cruise is suitable for children aged 7 years+

Day 3 – Departure from the Damai Pensinsula

Today marks the end of your treehouse adventure, but don’t worry, there is so much more to discover in this area. You can head for a taste of culture and visit the previously feared Iban Headhunter tribe. Otherwise, you can spend some more time on the Damai Peninsula, and we can arrange some beach time for you
