Take the family on a fun-packed adventure through Sarawak, from Kuching to the coast. You'll explore by bike, boat and kayak. Spot Proboscis Monkeys in Bako, Orangutans in Semenggoh and fireflies along the Santubong River. The trip ends with some family R&R time on the golden sands of Damai Beach.

This trip can be easily combined with a two night stopover in Kuala Lumpur or Singapore. If you have time you could also visit the neighbouring Borneo state of Sabah. Your Travel Specialist can offer suggestions,

Day 1 – Arrive in Kuching

Kuching is the perfect place to spend the first few nights of your Sarawak family adventure. This compact, welcoming city is a mix of old and new, a melting pot of cultures and cuisines. It’s also known as ‘Cat City’, and your kids will love spotting the cat statues dotted around the city. There’s even a museum dedicated to them!

Day 2 – Bike tour & river cruise

This morning you’ll get active on a half-day cycling tour. You’ll pedal past some of Kuching’s most important temples and landmarks, stopping to sample local street food. Then board a traditional Sampan boat for a short cruise along the Sarawak River. Disembark and continue exploring with your guide, passing through small villages and local open air markets selling tropical fresh fruits and vegetables and local handicrafts. Return to the city centre around midday. The rest of the day is free for you all to explore or rest after your adventurous morning.

This experience is suitable for children of all ages. Child bikes and seats are available

Day 3 – Discover Bako National Park

Only accessible by boat, Bako National Park is a land time forgot. Teaming with wildlife, including numerous species of monkey, yet within easy reach of Kuching, this trip is a great jungle experience for all the family. Your experienced guide will lead you through the winding boardwalks and rainforest trails, helping the kids to spot the mischievous Macaques, Silver Leaf Monkeys and of course the most famous resident, the funny-faced Proboscis Monkey. After lunch, you’ll sail back through the mangrove forests to the mainland where you’ll be transferred back to Kuching.
