Upon your arrival at Kuching airport, you’ll be taken to your hotel which is just a short walk away from the city’s popular riverfront. Frog Tour - Kubah National Park

Days 3-4

Frog Tour - Kubah National Park

We’ve added an extra day in Kuching, and this evening you’ll head to the Kubah National Park, home to over 60 species of frog. Your guide will lead you to the frog pond, and you can listen to the living orchestra of this fascinating wildlife. As you and your family walk along the boardwalks and through the jungle, you’ll hear the harmony of the frogs and hopefully spot one of the many species. This is an exciting trip for explorers young and old!

Mangroves, Monkeys and Fireflies

Days 4-6

Mangroves, Monkeys and Fireflies

Next up is an exhilarating mix of adventure and wildlife and after breakfast you’ll visit Semenggoh Rehabilitation Centre, a short drive away. Semenggoh is a temporary home for various endangered wildlife of Sarawak, especially orang-utans that have either been orphaned or rescued from captivity. Here, they’re trained in all the survival skills for them to venture out into the wild and fend for themselves. This tour is arranged for the morning to correspond with the orangutan’s feeding time to give you the best chance of getting up close and personal with these kindred spirits.

From here, you will transfer to the heart of the rainforest in the Damai Peninsular area, where you’ll be spending the next couple of nights in a tree-house deep in the jungle surrounded by all kinds of wildlife, unspoilt beaches, and the most breath-taking views. We will arrange a wildlife cruise on the mighty Santubong River where you’ll try and spot swinging apes, beady crocodile eyes, and glowing fireflies. If you’re lucky you might also see an Irrawaddy dolphin!

Damai Beach in Sarawak, Borneo

Days 6-9

Kayaks and Beaches of Damai

Over the next few days, it’s time for your family to relax and take it easy with a stay on the golden beaches of the Damai Peninsular. You can swim in the South China sea, relax with a book by the pool and simply take it easy. During your stay, we’ve included a very easy downstream kayak with a guide on the river to keep the kids busy! You’ll be surrounded by views of limestone rock formations and lush green rainforest.
