I travel for...
I find discovering how other cultures exist fascinating! Especially how and why traditions emerge from history and the stories that go alongside them. I am often amazed how similar cultures can be despite distances; it reminds me that we are all humans at the same time. If there’s a festival, museum or historical place of interest, I’m in!
In the hustle and bustle of life, it’s easy to lose sight of what’s important. Travelling helps me embrace the quiet and rejuvenate myself from 21st-century living. Finding a way to “zone out” and be at one with yourself for a short while is worth every moment. Personally, swimming, scuba diving, photography and snowboarding provide the perfect escape!
It goes without saying that food is one of the reasons to travel for me, ever since trying my first prawn in Spain as a child, I have been open to trying new food from where ever I travel (especially local delicacies when possible!). My most recent trip took me to Genoa in Italy, which is the birthplace of Pesto, and it was far better than any version I’ve ever tasted!
