Travel Specialist
I’ve always had a passion for Travel, 10 years ago I saved up and explored the world for 5 months with my best friend. There’s nothing better than exploring new surroundings and meeting the friendly locals. After my adventures I decided to pursue a career in travel and now put together dream itineraries all over the world!
My favourite destinations so far are Vietnam, Thailand and Cuba.

A New Experience
Creating special memories, whether it’s with my friends or family there’s nothing better. I like to travel to a different place each time if possible but do like to revisit places that are special to me, such as Thailand. My fellow Rickshaw colleagues often make me jealous of their travels – Japan and South America are definitely on my wish list!

The Food
I’m a big foodie and like to try everything on holiday, even in Cuba which is not known for it’s cuisine. Staying in local casa’s, I was able to find some really tasty home cooked Cuban food – it’s plentiful and the owners love to treat their guests, which is just fine by me! Vietnamese is by far my favourite food, it’s flavoursome and so, so cheap. I really enjoyed my cooking class in Hoi An whilst watching the ancient centre lit up by the beautiful lanterns.

Local Cultures
I enjoy interacting with new people and meeting the locals. I always find it interesting how other people live and work in different countries. I’ve been to countries where people earn very low wages but always have a smile on their faces. When I went to Africa, I was so touched by the friendliness of people despite having very little. I chose to sponsor a child and it’s one of the most rewarding things I have done.
What else do I do at Rickshaw?
As well as my role as a full-time Travel Specialist, I’m also part of the Meaningful Travel team.
