Day 1 – Arrival Le Langhe – Piemonte
Today you’ll arrive in Piedmont, the perfect spot to work up your Italian appetite, as this region is best known for its full-bodied red wines and delicious truffles. In Le Langhe, we have found a characteristic agriturismo with a swimming pool and a rustic fireplace for those cooler evenings in the spring and autumn. Your stay here will be dominated by good food and drinks, alongside hikes over the hills and among the rows of grapevines.
Days 2-3 – Truffle and Barbera wine tasting
Over the next two days you will find out all about the different flavours that this region has to offer, focussing especially on wines and truffles. You’ll have a tasting organised to ensure you experience the best Barbera wine, which is made from firm fruit and is aged in French wooden barrels, giving it a full-body, fruity flavour and a deep red colour. There are also fantastic walks throughout the region and if you would like some company one day, why not take a local expert and go truffle hunting.
Day 4 – Arrivederci Piemonte!
After one last breakfast in this amazing area, you will hit the road and continue your Italian adventure. Stick around Piemonte and discover the even quieter area of Val Maira or travel to the rugged and colourful coast of Cinque Terre.

Have you always wanted to know how and where to find those tasty truffles that you enjoy in pasta dishes or on a pizza? Well, today you’ll take part in a special activity that you probably cannot (successfully) do in your own backyard. You’ll head out into the forest with an enthusiastic sniffer dog and its owner to scan the area for these natural treats. Along the way, your guide will also tell you more about the search for truffles and history behind this traditional activity.
Le langhe – Hike & Wine

This morning you will be picked up and taken to the town of Roddi, where you will walk with our navigation app through the hilly landscape. You can taste the local atmosphere and perhaps already have a glass of wine in the various villages that you will pass through along the way, such as La Morra and the hamlet of Vergne. In La Morra, you can also visit the Ratti museum to learn more about the history, art and tradition of making the full-bodied wines from Piemonte. Don’t miss a stop at Comunale, where you can taste and buy a selection of wines. It’s about a 13–15 km walk, but if you want to shorten it then you can also start from Verduno.
