Shimmering Shores of Poros
Poros 4-day Relaxing Holiday - Greece
Overview
Poros is the perfect destination if you want that laidback island feeling without any long boat journey, it’s as close as to the mainland as an island can be but feels like it’s in the middle of the Mediterranean. The fertile volcanic soil allows you to sniff the scent of pine trees and taste its delicious local lemons, both a perfect accompaniment to napping under one of the olive trees on the sandy beach.

Explore Poros & Surroundings
For the next days you will simply enjoy Poros and the area around it. Even though Poros is a small car-free island, there is a lot to do! The bays on the west side of the island are quiet and a great place to do unwind and relax. People also come from all over the world to paddle among Poros’ infamous rock formations. If you’d prefer to stay dry on land, Poros town had many terraces, shops and architecture that makes it a wonderful place to stroll around. You can also drive inland to the amphitheater in Epidaurus, the historic Mycenae and the cosy harbor town of Nafplion, where you can stroll between the characteristic houses with a delicious fresh ice cream in hand.

Departure from Poros – onward or home.
The coast of Poros Island is a a great place to either end your trip and head back to Athens or to use as a launch pad for more explorations on mainland Greece. Either way you will leave this area with many unforgettable memories.

Poros – Hydra day trip
Today you take the ferry to Hydra. We will arrange the ferry tickets for you in advance. When you enter the harbour you can already see the traditional mansions. The terrace by the harbour is great for people watching and enjoying a drink in the sun among the Greeks. The island is car-free and you mostly travel by a donkey-drawn cart or water taxi. There are several sandy and pebble beaches on the island. Some can be reached on foot, but it is easier to take a water taxi.
