Travel to Three Rivers
After leaving Yosemite or San Francisco its time to head to stunning Three Rivers. It’s the gateway to Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Park. The scenic journey only takes a few hours with plenty of places to stop at en route. As you head through Grant Grove you will have the chance to witness General Sherman Tree – the biggest in the World! It towers at 280 foot high and with a circumference of over 100 foot- let’s just say you wont miss it!
From here, it is just a short drive to Three Rivers –Your wooden lodge is located at the foothills of the Sierra Nevada. The lodge is a great place to take in the enchanting scenery in a cosy setting- right in the heart of the forest!
Explore Sequoia National Park and depart
Today is all about exploring the great outdoors, as you open the doors to your lodge you’ll be itching to step in to the wilderness. Head off in to Sequoia National Park, where you’ll take in the dramatic landscape of Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Park. There are plenty of hiking trails that meander through the groves, with one of the best being the Big Trees Trail. If you want to rest up next then the Kings Canyon Scenic Byway is a spectacular drive and one of the best ways to take in the beauty of your surroundings.
