Overview

Spend a night in the mountain village of Papallacta, amongst the fresh air, beautiful scenery and natural thermal springs. This is a place to recharge your batteries and pamper yourself a little, and with it being only a couple of hours from Quito, it’s also a lovely pit-stop either during or at the end of your Ecuador adventure. You’ll stay in a comfortable lodge with access to their own private thermal pools.

Relaxing in Papallacta

Depending on where you’re coming from, we’ll usually arrange a private driver to bring you up to the village. Once you’ve settled into your comfy cabaña, you can jump straight into the private thermal pools to soothe your muscles whilst looking out across the mountain scenery. If you’d like even more pampering then spa treatments can be booked on-site, and there’s also a restaurant and bar here, so you can have a truly lazy evening.

On to the next destination

After breakfast this morning, and maybe one more dip in the thermal pools overlooking the mountains, it’ll be time to carry on to your next destination. If this is the last stop on your journey then we can arrange a transfer directly to Quito airport in time for your flight home.

"At first I was nervous about heading to the Galapagos as I had built it up so high in my estimations and thought it might not deliver. I shouldn’t have worried, the wildlife encounters were like no other I have experienced - on land and underwater."
