Arrive in Palm Springs
Arrive in the green oasis town of Palm Springs from either the Grand Canyon or Las Vegas, with perhaps a slight detour to the famous Route 66. Check into your modern hotel and take a dip in the pool to cool off from the intense desert heat. There are plenty of restaurants nearby, so feel free to wander around town for a bite to eat, or simply make use of the hotel facilities and get an early night so you’re ready for your trip to Joshua Tree National Park the following day.

Depart Palm Springs
It’s time to leave the heat of the desert today and continue your road trip west to the coast, where you can either take to the waves for some surfing in San Diego or head to see the glitz and glamour of Los Angeles.
