Arrival on Cubadak Island
Cubadak Island is just a short boat trip from the mainland of Sumatra. When you arrive, you’ll be greeted by swaying palms, pure white sands and a crystal clear sea. Just offshore, there’s an easy access coral reef, so simply grab your mask and snorkel and off you go. You’ll stay in a cosy bungalow decorated in traditional Indonesian style. The resort is small and friendly, with only a handful of rooms.

Free time
Your time on the island is completely your own. Spend the days lazing on the dazzling beach, snorkelling through the colourful coral or hopping over to a neighbouring island and enjoying a picnic prepared by the hotel. If you’re after an adventure, try a trek through the island’s jungly interior. Alternatively, rent a canoe and paddle around the coastline.

Departure
On your final day of your trip you’ll be transferred by boat back to the mainland. Wave a final farewell to this castaway island and get a few last-minute photos of those powdery sands. Back on the mainland you can either fly back to Medan to continue your Indonesian adventure or connect with your international flight home. Either way, you’ll no doubt be sad to leave this beautiful island.
