Hoi An holidays
Hoi An
Watch lanterns twinkle along the river and try your hand at local crafts in Hoi An, Vietnam’s most atmospheric town. A jumble of crumbling Chinese shop-houses, boutique cafes, artist studios and riverside restaurants, this UNESCO World Heritage site is crammed with old-world charm.
In recent years, Hoi An has become something of a national treasure. Take some time to wander into town at dusk and grab yourself a table at one of the many restaurants overlooking the river to watch Hoi An light up as darkness falls.
Head out of the city and visit the impressive Cau Vang Golden Bridge. At over 1,000 metres above sea level, the views are as spectacular as the architecture, with two giant stone hands “holding” the gold thread walkway high above the clifftops.
