Your day-by-day itinerary
Today you will make your way to the island, via the bridge at Saint Louise, you’ll drive a few hours to reach Riviere-du-loup. You’ll park your car in the office harbour, take an overnight bag and board your ferry at 12:30 to reach your lighthouse for the night. The ferry trip will take half an hour, where your guide will tell you all about the flora and fauna of the St. Lawrence River and islands, with a little luck, you may even see a beluga whale swimming in the sea.
Once you arrive at the lighthouse, snacks and drinks will be waiting for you. You’ll then have the day to explore around the island. There are plenty of hiking trails for you to explore, and some of them give you views of the seals below. You’ll discover secluded coves and immerse yourself in the peaceful atmosphere that emanates from the island. On your return to your cosy accommodation, you’ll be served a typical regional dish from the menu.

This afternoon your ferry will arrive at 2 pm, to take you back to your car for the next part of your Canadian adventure.
