4-Day Finnish Holiday Itinerary - Lapland

Land in Lapland and discover a world of snow and ice. Upon arrival, a driver will be waiting for you to take you to your hotel in Rovaniemi. You’ll have the rest of the day and the following morning free for you to explore your surroundings at your leisure. The hotel that we have planned for you is a centrally located city hotel in Rovaniemi and if you get a little cold after the adventures outside in the snow, make use of the onsite Finnish Sauna.

After breakfast it’s time for action as you head out on a husky safari! You’ll get to know these Arctic dogs and how to handle them up close. After your guide gives instructions, you’ll climb a sled pulled by six or more huskies, who will be full of anticipation. With one person acting as the musher (driver), the others in the sled can enjoy the winter wonderland landscape. You’ll take a break along the way, so you have time to take pictures, have a hot drink and change position if necessary. There is nothing planned for the following day, so you can do as you please.

Today you have a free day in your Finnish Lapland trip to plan all by yourself. Sleep in after your busy day yesterday or get up extra early and go for a walk in the fresh snow. Your travel specialist can happily offer suggestions to fill in this day with something exciting. Go on a reindeer safari or get on a snowmobile after dark in search of the Northern Lights. Would you rather be a bit more active? Then head out into the snow for an intensive snowshoe hike or go skiing on the nearby slopes.

Over the past few days you will have been able to discover Lapland in a truly special way. Enthusiastic huskies will have taken you through the Finnish Lapland and whether you have added snowmobiling, the reindeer safari or one of the other excursions yourself, you have undoubtedly had a memorable trip to say the least. Head to the airport and fly back home feeling exhilarated.
