Your day-by-day itinerary

Day 1
Arrival in Yellowstone
Today you’ll travel to the world-famous Yellowstone, the first National Park in the USA. Depending on where you’re arriving from, you may have plenty of time to explore on your first day in the park. Weave through the Upper Geyser Basin, stopping at Old Faithful, named for its predictably reliable display. This explosive hot spring erupts roughly every 90 minutes with boiling water pushed metres into the air. After a long day, you can relax at your lodge and enjoy a hearty dinner.

Day 2
Explore the park
There’s so much to discover within the park with lakes, mudpots and thermal pools being some of the highlights. There’s nothing planned for your time here, so you can explore at your own pace. Firehole Lake Drive takes you close to hot pools and geysers, including the world’s tallest, Steamboat. The Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone is also worth a visit, stretching 20 miles from Upper Falls to Lower Falls and boasting higher falls than Niagara!

Day 3
Time to continue your journey
Today you’ll check out of your chalet and head to your next destination in the US. As you leave the park, keep your eyes peeled for some of the diverse wildlife which calls this area home; bears, moose and elk are some of the main residents spotted.
