Ah the ever so long summer holidays. Wouldn’t we love to be in a faraway country and have a holiday of our own? What a perfect time to treat the family to an extended holiday to some of our most popular family destinations! With plenty of jungle walks, night safaris, wildlife watching and Nemo spotting while snorkelling, we think this is a great time for those ‘once in a lifetime holidays’ as you can really take your time. We’ve put together special summer friendly itineraries for each destination which you can have a peek at for inspiration.
How special would it be to see your kids spending Christmas with a local family in South East Asia, or spotting wildlife swinging in the trees in Costa Rica? Booking early is key for the Christmas holidays to get the best flight deals and accommodation as this gets very busy and a lot of places are very limited, but we would say it can be one of the most exciting times of year to take away the family. Speak to your travel specialist about personalising an itinerary to perfectly suit you and the family.
Easter’s 2 week break proves a good time to travel to a lot of our destinations, as the weather is good and flights are not always as costly as the Summer or Christmas months. Let your kids experience colourful Easter festivities in Peru, visit a local school in a remote village in Bali, or spot elephants wading through the exotic jungles of Kerala.
February half term
Christmas is over, it’s been raining ALL the time in January, so maybe it’s time for a quick getaway in the Feb to keep the little kids (and yours of course) vitamin D levels up. Leave it to us as we have some exciting places for you to have a quick break with the family. Soak up the sun while kayaking around some of Thailand’s most beautiful islands and beaches, take the kids on a safari through Yala National Park or have a go at rice farming with other local families in Hue, Vietnam.
May half term
Wanna treat the kids (or yourselves) to a week away somewhere exotic? These destinations are just a hop skip and a jump away to finding yourself immersed in a country full of excitement. Skip the crowds in Borneo and watch the kids’ faces light up when spotting Orangutans swinging in the trees, learn to paint a traditional Batik fabric in Malaysia or see the children’s smiles zipping through trees in Las Terrazas in Cuba.
October half term
October is usually one of those months when you have holiday blues from the summer, so what a perfect time to perk the kids up and zip them away on an adventure. There are a small handful of places that are good to go in October, where the weather will still be good and you won’t have to share the beaches or local restaurants with too many other people.
