Your day-by-day itinerary

Girl in Tuk TUk

Day 1

Arrival in Phnom Penh

Whether you’re arriving by air or by bus from a neighbouring country, we’ll arrange for you to be met by a local driver who’ll take you to your hotel – a cosy, family-friendly place with a small swimming pool, located in Phnom Penh’s historic centre. Depending on your arrival time you can set out to explore some of the city yourselves… may seem hectic, but it’s generally regarded as a safe city to walk around, especially in the centre.

Day 2

Exploring the city

This morning you’ll meet a local guide, who’ll be taking you on a tour to show you the present and past of their city. As well as getting a feel for vibrant, modern-day Phnom Penh, you’ll also take a sobering look into its tragic past with a visit to the Tuol Sleng museum and the infamous Killing Fields site.

tonle sap lake in cambodia

We think this is an important education for most people to take in, but obviously you might consider your children too young or not ready to see these things. If that’s the case then it is totally understandable, and we can arrange some great alternatives like a boat trip on the Tonle Sap lake, or a Cambodian cooking class – just let us know what you’d prefer!
