Overview
Based in Moab, the adventure capital of Utah, you’re at the gateway to the appropriately named Arches National Park, famed for its weird and wonderful rock formations. We’ve got a fun excursion planned, as you try your hand stand-up paddleboarding. You’ll drift past the dusty red rocks on the vast Colorado River, stopping for a drink and snack on the way. It’s an exciting and unique way for you all to experience this alien landscape.

Monument Valley to Moab
This morning, you’ll head deeper into red rock country, travelling a couple of hours along the dusty highway to Moab, the adventure capital of Utah. Settle into your accommodation for the next couple of nights, grab some lunch and late afternoon we recommend exploring the nearby Arches National Park to see some of its unique array of rock formations. Head back for a refreshing dip in the pool and a bite to eat.

What’s SUP on the Colorado River
Time for some real adventure for you all, as you head onto the mighty Colorado River. Make sure to wear your swimmers, as you’ll be picked up after breakfast and taken the short distance to your starting point on the river for your chance to have a go at Stand-up Paddle Boarding. After a tutorial from your expert guide, you’ll begin paddling down the river at a leisurely pace. If you get too hot, just jump in for a quick cool off!

Leaving Moab
Have a hearty breakfast, as it’s a slightly longer trip today on your American family adventure. You’ll either head towards Bryce Canyon for a ranch stay experience, or to the spectacular Zion National Park.
