In each of our destinations, we support a local project. And as music is such an important part of Cuban culture, we’ve chosen to support Music fund for Cuba, a UK-based charity, established in 2001. It was set up in memory of the singer Kirsty MacColl who fell in love with Cuban culture, its people and was inspired by Cuban music. They support education and development of music and performing arts in Cuba. The music fund for Cuba provides much-needed support and equipment for children and young Cuban musicians, dancers and artists through the island.

How do we support Music Fund for Cuba?

We’re passionate about giving something back to the destinations and communities that we work with. That’s why £5 of the value of every Cuba booking will always be contributed to our local project: Music Fund for Cuba. Of course, if you’d like to donate more, that’s no problem. Just let us know.

Oh, and we also do a little fundraising ourselves throughout the year, too. You can read more about this on our blog.

Where does my money go?

Your donation will go towards:

  • Violin strings, ballet shoes, reeds for woodwind instruments and paper for music
  • Teaching manuals for schools and performing artists
  • Community projects

Keep up-to-date with our charities and meaningful travel efforts on our blog. While you’re in Havana, you could visit the Miramar Theatre which was restored using funds raised by Music Fund for Cuba.

Speak to our Cuba specialist, Ross

"One of my favourite things about travelling in Cuba is simply watching life on the streets; kids playing football, old friends having a game of chess, salsa music lingering in the air. It's not hard to fall under Cuba's spell."
