Vietnam is blessed with a long and glorious coastline so it is no surprise that its beaches are a significant draw for travellers. From north to south you’ll easily find a sunny strip of sand to kick back, relax and soak up the tropical sun, while also taking in Vietnam’s wonderful culture and incredible food.
Vietnam’s beaches are not only stunning (and much quieter than neighbouring Thailand), but many have unique historical and cultural highlights nearby. After a day of sight-seeing at a UNESCO world heritage site, you can sit back and enjoy a cocktail whilst sunning yourself on one of the most stunning coastlines in the world. With so many beautiful beaches you’re spoilt for choice so we’ve picked out some of our favourites to help you plan your trip.
Sandy beaches & natural springs in Phu Quoc
Most of Phu Quoc is covered in thick jungle so it makes perfect sense that many people call it the Emerald Island. You can fly from Ho Chi Minh City or go overland through the Mekong Delta to find this ideal castaway island, perfect for anyone wanting to get away from it all. Its coastline makes it a picture postcard tropical island complete with swaying palm trees, bays of white sand, and warm turquoise seas that are crystal clear and perfect for snorkelling. Still relatively undeveloped, the coastline is natural and un-manicured, you’ll often find coconuts washing up on the shore, giving you that true island experience.
