Everyone can appreciate a good travel photo, whether it’s a serene beach, a cheeky monkey (with an eye on your snacks!) or a stonking sunset over temple ruins. For us, seeing pictures of our customers travelling on their Rickshaw holidays makes us grin from ear to ear. We’ve flicked through our hefty photo albums and, after a lot of umming and ahhing, chose 12 top photos that we couldn’t resist sharing…

    Jiuzhaigou

    Taken by Rod in China

Rod travelled from Beijing to Xi’an where he saw the famous terracotta army, before heading to the pandas of Chengdu and visiting here, the crystal lakes of Jiuzhaigou. “We just loved the karst mountains and the beautiful rice terraces and the bike and raft rides, it was all simply wonderful.”

Cynthia and her family started their Vietnam adventure in Saigon before getting immersed in life on the Mekong River. After a local homestay experience, they continued on to Bai Tu Long Bay, Hoi An and Ninh Binh. “We had a perfect, amazing experience, thanks to your wonderful expertise.”

    Tiger in the water

Richard and his wife took a 25-day trip visiting Delhi, Jaipur, the Taj Mahal, and Orchha before taking a safari jeep tour in Bandhavgarh National Park where they snapped this beautiful tiger shot. “The itinerary put together for us was great, everything ran like clockwork. All in all, we had an amazing experience in India & would definitely use Rickshaw Travel again.”

Nina was our competition winner and bagged herself a 16-day trip to Myanmar. From Yangon to Pyin Oo Lwin and Mandalay to Bagan, her trip ended in the Inle Lake which she discovered the sheer beauty, floating gardens and marvelled at the famous leg rowers in action.

Gavin ventured to Indonesia for his second Rickshaw trip with his wife and daughter. Discovering Bali and the Gili Islands in 19 days, they spent a night in Tirtangangga where they stayed with a local family, trekked through rich green valleys and roasted coffee beans. “A small travel company that focuses on giving you personal attention. We have had two amazing holidays through Rickshaw to date.”

    Poon Hill

Tony trekked through forests and villages for an epic sunrise view at Poon Hill. Over five days he climbed stone staircases and hiked lush foothills to get a real taste of trekking in Nepal.

One thing I love most about Rickshaw is how hard they work to make sure that all animal trips sold are ethical and responsible.
