Arrival in Ayutthaya & Sunset Tuk-Tuk Tour
You’ll make your own way to your traditional wooden guesthouse when you arrive. The garden is dotted with places to sit and relax with a good book and is not too far from the action and temple complex. The entire 12th century UNESCO city of Ayutthaya is situated on an island between rivers and was one of the wealthiest kingdoms in Southeast Asia.
By early evening it will be time for you to meet your driver for your sunset tuk-tuk ride. As your driver may not speak much English, you might like to take a guide book for detailed background information about each temple. The temples and surrounding landscape of Ayutthaya are spellbinding at sunset. After a couple of hours, you’ll be dropped back in the city centre, in time for dinner at one of the river bank restaurants.
