Day 1 – Arrival in Ayutthaya
When you arrive into the ancient city of Ayutthaya you’ll make your own way to your traditional wooden guesthouse. The garden is dotted with places to sit and relax with a good book and is not too far from the action and temple complex. The entire 12th century UNESCO city is situated on an island between rivers and was one of the wealthiest kingdoms in Southeast Asia.
Day 2 – Historic highlights by bike & boat
Get active as you discover the sights and history of Thailand’s glistening city. This full-day trip will see you join a small group and guide to learn all about the history of the temples as you peddle your way through the city. Next, you’ll switch your bike for a boat, a converted rice barge, to cruise down the waterways whilst you enjoy a tasty traditional lunch. Back on dry land, it’s time to let all your cares wash away with a Thai massage overlooking the river. The rest of your time here is free to do as you wish.
Day 3 – Departure from Ayutthaya
After exploring the wonderful temples in Ayutthaya this trip will come to an end today after breakfast. Depending on the next destination on your trip you may have another day to explore the city before your night train.
