Family accommodation options
Thailand is quite possibly the most well-known family holiday destination in Asia and it certainly lives up to its reputation. With family-friendly hotels boasting pools for lazy days with the children, welcoming homestays full of Thai hospitality and floating raft houses in the midst of the jungle, there’s something to keep the whole family happy. We offer four styles of accommodation throughout Thailand and our Travel Specialists have first-hand experience to guide you in the right direction.
Flexible itineraries packed with adventure
There’s something for every member of the family in Thailand. See our popular ready-made family itinerary which can be tweaked to your liking. Alternatively, our bite-sized 2-3 day trips piece together easily, giving your family the chance to create a personalised holiday. From visiting the Elephant Nature Park in Chiang Mai to staying on an oil-lit raft hut on the River Kwai – there are lots of options to suit your needs.
Getting around in Thailand
There’s a wide range of transport options in Thailand and due to an excellent infrastructure it’s great for families wanting to explore the ‘land of smiles’. Trains are perfect for short hops or even overnight journeys and the sleeper trains have comfy bunk beds and a restaurant car. For quicker travel the domestic flight routes run daily, linking the entire length of the country plus some islands have their own airports. Buses, boats, and the iconic tuk-tuks are all cheap and convenient. It’s worth noting that some boat transfers and excursions only offer adult size life jackets – speak to your travel specialist for more information.
Peace of mind with our local partners
We work with a local partner in Thailand who is available 24/7 in case you need any support whilst on holiday. In 2015 our partner obtained the Travelife accreditation for their Thailand office and trips – we’re very proud to work alongside people who share our values. On some bite-sized trips you’ll be accompanied by a local English-speaking guide who will be able to teach you and your children all about Thai culture and customs.
