We try to offer meaningful experiences throughout all of our bite-sized trips that will stay with you long after you return. While travelling with Rickshaw why not get to know the local Malay people and culture by staying in a local kampung. You’ll sleep in a cosy little collage, try your hand at the art of batik and be welcomed into the local village life.
During your Malaysia trip you can expect to stay in locally-owned hotels wherever possible as well as home stays, jungle lodges and beach bungalows. The unique local charm and friendly owners will make your trip extra special and you can relax knowing you are giving back to the communities you are visiting.
Our Local Malaysia Project
In all our destinations we like to support a local project to give something back. In Malaysia we’re proud to support a local soup kitchen who offer meals to those less fortunate. As well as making sure they have a hearty meal on offer they also provide medical care and shelter.
Our Malaysia Travel Specialists
Our specialists love Malaysia; the lush countryside, white sandy beaches and tasty food. They are passionate about helping you organise your perfect trip to Malaysia, find out all about them and their handy tips.
Our Local Partner in Malaysia
We work with a local partner in Malaysia who supports our sustainability mission and values. We use local guides and drivers during all our excursions in Malaysia. Not only does this make for a more rewarding experience for our Rickshaw Ramblers, but it also helps to put money into the pockets of the local people. You’ll also have the advantage of your guide’s local knowledge – you can even ask them where their favourite restaurants are!
Meet our Guides and Drivers
We are passionate about working alongside local guides and drivers who are experts in their areas and will be proud to guide you around their home country, offering hints and tips along the way to ensure that you get that little bit closer to the ‘real’ Malaysia.
