Pakse - Bolaven Plateau
This morning, you’ll be transferred by private car from Pakse to Tad Fane, travelling past tiny villages, rural temples and farmland. The well-paved road will give way to a sandy trail as you near the Bolaven Plateau. You’ll stay in a resort buried in the dense rainforest, opposite two foaming waterfalls that plunge a whopping 200 metres into the gorge below. It’s a jaw-dropping sight. In the afternoon, you can soak up the incredible surroundings from your private veranda or trek through the natural wilderness.
Today is completely free for you to enjoy the rainforest at your own pace. The climate on the plateau is pleasantly cool and the landscape is unbelievably green. The villages on the plateau are accessible only via sand trails, which has preserved their secluded ways. Many minorities live here, including the Laven, Katu and the Alak people. Your eco-lodge is located in the Dong Hua Sao Nature Reserve with lush jungle surroundings and restaurant to enjoy some tasty dishes.
