Day 1

Arrival in Luang Prabang

When you arrive in Luang Prabang, you’ll be transferred to your small-scale, charming guest house within walking distance of the city centre, run by friendly Laotians. The entire city has a welcoming and friendly vibe, so you’ll feel at home in an instant. You can spend the rest of the day exploring the city on foot, or whisk off around the sights on a bicycle.

Days 2-3

Sunset on the Mekong and free time

Today you are free until 4pm when you’ll be picked up by tuk-tuk for a sunset trip along the Mekong River. You’ll sail upstream to the confluence of the Nam Khan and Mekong River, a sacred place for the local Laotians. On the other side of the river, you’ll take a walk to the hidden temple of Wat Long Khoune and Wat Chomphet. Finally, with glass of wine or beer in hand, you’ll watch the sun set over the legendary Mekong. The following day is free for your to spend as you wish.

Kuang Si Trekking & Foraging

Today you will leave the city behind and head into the forest near the source of the Krung Si waterfalls. Along the way your guide will collect edible plants and vegetables and tell you all about the uses before preparing a simple lunch. You can help fish in the river with the locals and learn about their fishing techniques and cooking in bamboo. After lunch you’ll trek down to the famous Krung Si falls and cool off in one of the pools.
