A Night in Jakarta

Days 1-2

A Night in Jakarta

When you arrive into Jakarta airport you’ll no doubt be feeling a little jet-lagged. Not to worry through, our representative will be ready and waiting to whisk you away to your unusual hotel in the heart of the city. The communal areas are beautifully designed with plenty of quirky features. Head up to the rooftop lounge in the evening, grab an ice-cold Bintang beer and enjoy the views.

Big plantation

Days 2-4

Wandering through Plantations

Amble through emerald tea plantations, pass endless rice paddies and visit local villages. Leaving the busy streets of Bandung behind you you’ll stay in nearby Lembang, a small town nestling in a valley basin surrounded by volcanic hills, tea plantations, and waterfalls. During your stay, you’ll learn about tea production with a local guide and hike through the countryside.

Beautiful sunset on the beach

Days 4-6

Catch a Break on the Coast

Stretch out on dark volcanic sands, with great surf breaks, fresh seafood and fiery sunsets. Pangandaran is one of Java’s premier beach destinations, a friendly fishing village with real character and a local holiday atmosphere. Here, you’ll stay in a cosy resort just a couple of minutes from the beach, with a tempting swimming pool and welcoming staff.

Days 6-8

Wonders of Yogya

Watch the sun rise over giant buddhas buried in the misty morning jungle at Borobudur, the largest Buddhist temple complex in the world. Wander between the stupas in the soft purples of dawn, the air thick with mysticism and a touch of magic. You’ll stay in Yogyakarta, the cultural heart of Java. Before dawn, you’ll set off to Borobudur to catch the sunrise. It really is something quite special.

A Night in Surabaya

Days 8-9

A Night in Surabaya

In Surabaya you’ll spend the night in a modern, centrally located hotel in Surabaya’s historical district. The location means you’re within walking distance of the local shopping centres and restaurants, so it’s a great opportunity to grab any last-minute souvenirs. If you fancy a wander, the Surabaya Grand Mosque and Heroic Monument are both nearby.

Speak to our Indonesia specialist, Miles

“From the moment I first stepped off the plane, I was swept away by Indonesia’s charm and beauty- so much so, that I’ve since lost count of how many times I’ve been! It’s got beaches, cultural wonders, wildlife & warm weather. What’s not to love?”
