Tumbling Rice Paddies of Ubud
Ubud is the bohemian centre of Bali, an atmospheric world of small artist studios, yoga schools, restaurants and cafes. Spend three nights recharging after your flight and soaking up the relaxed spirit of the place. You’ll also enjoy a family bike ride through the beautiful countryside, past rice-paddies and small villages, to get a glimpse of local life.
Take a Break on the East Coast
Explore the unspoilt plains of Bali’s peaceful east. Visit local villages, wander between rice paddies and explore remote temples. You’ll stay in a beautiful Balinese bungalow, owned by Hans and Els, who not only provide wonderful home-cooked food throughout your stay, but also run a project which helps fund education for local schoolgirls. You’ll be made to feel very at home, and will also take an insightful tour which gives you glimpse of local life in this part of Bali.
Bali's Secret Spices
Cook up a classic Balinese storm on the laid-back beaches of the east. Snorkel through coral gardens and whip up tasty traditional dishes for the whole family in an open-air kitchen. While the beach at Candidasa has mostly been swallowed by the sea, the atmosphere is deliciously drowsy and the food is to die for. You’ll take an authentic cooking class complete with sea views, learning how to create some local favourites.
White Sands of the Gilis
Visit a laid-back barefoot escape with swaying coconut palms and an underwater world begging to be explored. Snooze in the sunshine, take barefoot strolls and feast on sizzling seafood whilst the kids snorkel looking for sea turtles. The Gili Islands are a castaway sensation. The sand is white, the water is unbelievably clear, and the atmosphere is completely carefree.
Beaches of Southern Bali
Snooze on the sand, stroll on the beach, and soak up the tropical sunshine in Sanur, a southern beach with a village feel and a deliciously drowsy vibe. It’s a great place to end a busy trip to Bali, with narrow beaches, spa treatments and seafood by the bucket-load. You’ll also take a trip to a non-profit surf school, in nearby Legian, who offer help and opportunities to local children. Aside from all having a go at this iconic Indonesian pastime, it’ll also give you a meaningful end to your holiday.
