Arrival in Bandhavgarh
Today you’ll drive from Khajuraho to Banhavgarh National Park, a 6 hour journey. Set amidst the Vindhyanchal hills is your African style cottage, with a personal veranda from which you can enjoy the spectacular views over the park. In the evening you can relax by the bonfire, and enjoy a BBQ or lavish dinner. It’s full-board basis whilst here, so food is included.
Morning & Afternoon Safaris
After breakfast this morning you’ll be collected by an experienced naturalist guide for extensive wildlife viewing. You’ll jump into a Gypsy jeep and head off in search of the majestic Bengal tigers. You’ll stop for lunch before heading out again in the afternoon. Asides from tigers there are many resident animals which can be spotted here, including nilgai, jungle cats, wild boar and hyenas.
Departure from Bandhavgarh
Today it’s time to say goodbye to Banghavgarh and head to your next stop. You’ll be driven to Katni train station where you’ll board the day train to Varanasi. Hopefully, you’ll have spotted some tigers by this point but if you’d like to increase your chances, you can add an additional night here.
Please note: The park is closed during monsoon (1st July to 15th October)
