Periyar is home to several types of deer, otters, bison, monkeys and even wild bears. However, the most famous residents of Periyar are the wild elephants grazing in the tall grass along the lake. In the afternoon you will be shown around a spice garden where you can see different spices, and later you will be given a short cooking demo before heading back to your guesthouse.
