Days 2-3

Cape Town - Free Time

Today, you’re free to explore Cape Town at your own pace. Take a boat trip out to Robben Island, the infamous prison where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned for 27 years or dust off your walking boots to hike to the top of Table Mountain, where you’ll see the whole city spread out before you. Afterwards, grab a cocktail in cosmopolitan Camps Bay, with its many long palm-fringed beach and happening restaurants.

The next day is also yours for the taking. Hop in your hire car and soak up the natural beauty of the Cape Peninsula, following the jaw-dropping road around Chapman’s Peak, the Cape of Good Hope and Boulders Beach, famous for its colony of penguins. This route is scattered with harbour restaurants, staggering viewpoints and windswept beaches. At Cape of Good Hope, you’ll feel like a tiny dot on the tip of the continent, surrounded by panoramic ocean views.
